Workshop Teaser

Overview

Robot-assisted surgery is rapidly transforming surgery, and the integration of AI into these platforms marks a critical inflection point for both robotics and clinical care. This workshop addresses the urgent need to bring advanced robot learning into high-stakes surgical environments, where embodied intelligence must be precise, adaptive, and safe. As learning-based methods mature—spanning imitation learning, reinforcement learning, multimodal perception, and large-scale models—now is the opportune moment to translate these advances into real-world surgical systems. The workshop will explore core challenges in robot-assisted surgery, operating room automation, skill assessment, and human-robot collaboration, uniting researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders to chart the future of surgical AI. Through invited talks, technical posters, and interdisciplinary panels, we aim to accelerate progress and foster cross-cutting collaboration at this pivotal intersection of learning and medicine.
